Privacy policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026

1. Who we are

Thoromo Consulting (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2024/271444/07), 58 Koeberg Street, Witpoortjie, Roodepoort, 1724, trading as ZAcheckin, is the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) for personal information collected through this website.

Information Officer: Uriel Nangu, urieln@thoromo.com, 010 534 8472. You can also reach us on WhatsApp 082 956 4085.

2. What we collect

Guests are not asked to create an account. We do not count how many times a guest opens the welcome book. If a guest types a stay PIN, we check that PIN so the page can show the access codes you stored with us. We do not keep a list of guests.

Like most websites, the computer that hosts this site may record an IP address, browser, and device type in its ordinary logs. We do not use those logs to track guests.

3. Why we use it

To set up and host your welcome book, to invoice and support the subscription, to process payments, to check a stay PIN before showing access codes, to prevent abuse, and to meet legal and tax obligations. We may send you messages about your own welcome book. You can tell us to stop those messages.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed with PayFast (payments) and the company that hosts this website, so the page can be served and the payment can be taken. We may also share it with our professional advisers, and with authorities where the law requires it. Where information is processed outside South Africa we rely on section 72 of POPIA.

5. How long we keep it

For as long as you are a customer, and afterwards for as long as tax and company law require (generally 5 years for financial records). Then we delete or anonymise it. When a paid period ends and the welcome book is taken offline, we stop publishing the property information on that page. We still keep the billing record for the period the law requires.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access control, and limiting who can see access codes. If a security compromise affects your information we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

7. Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, object to processing, or withdraw consent, by emailing urieln@thoromo.com or by WhatsApp on 082 956 4085. You may complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za, POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

8. Cookies

These pages do not set marketing or analytics cookies, and we do not run a guest counter. PayFast may set its own cookies on PayFast's website when you pay. You can control cookies in your browser.

9. Changes

We may update this policy and will publish the new version on this page.
