2. Acceptance
By placing an order, signing up, subscribing, or paying online you agree to these terms, our Privacy policy, and our Refund and cancellation policy.
3. Prices and payment
- All prices are in South African rand (ZAR) and are final. Thoromo Consulting (Pty) Ltd is not a registered VAT vendor, so no VAT is charged. The published prices are on our Pricing page and on the home page.
- The monthly plan is R149 per month per property. The yearly plan is R1,490 per year per property. Setup is R1,500 once, when the book is put together.
- Online payments are processed securely by PayFast. We never see or store your full card details.
- Setup, where you add it, is once-off and is charged with the first payment, or on its own if you choose setup only.
4. Recurring services and subscriptions
The monthly and yearly welcome-book plans are billed by PayFast as a subscription. That is a recurring debit. For these plans:
- The billing cycle, price, and renewal are shown when you pay, and on the Pricing page.
- The monthly plan is billed monthly in advance and renews automatically each month until you cancel.
- The yearly plan is billed yearly in advance and renews automatically each year until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time before the next billing date on WhatsApp 082 956 4085 or by email at urieln@thoromo.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not refund a partly used month or year. After that paid period ends, the welcome book is taken offline. The steps are in the Refund and cancellation policy.
- If a renewal payment does not go through, the welcome book is taken offline after the period you have already paid for.
- We will give you at least 20 business days' written notice of any price change on a recurring service, in line with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA).
5. Delivery
ZAcheckin is a digital service. After payment, and once we have the property details we need, we send the welcome book link on WhatsApp within 1 working day.
6. Your obligations
You agree to give us accurate information about you and the guesthouse, to use the welcome book lawfully, and not to ask us to publish illegal content. Keep the stay PIN for any access codes safe, and share it only with your guests. We may take a page offline that is used in breach of these terms.
7. Cooling-off
Where ECTA section 44 applies to an online purchase, you may cancel within 7 days of the transaction without reason. This right does not apply to services that have already started with your consent within the 7 days, or to other exclusions in section 42 of ECTA. See our Refund and cancellation policy for details.
8. Intellectual property
The ZAcheckin layout and software belong to Thoromo. The words, photos, house rules, and other material you send us for your guesthouse stay yours. We use them only to build and host your welcome book. When the paid period ends, or you ask us to stop, we take that page offline.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by third-party providers (such as payment processors or the network) outside our reasonable control. Our total liability for the welcome book is limited to the amount you paid for that property in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the CPA, ECTA, or other South African law.
10. Complaints and disputes
Please contact us first at urieln@thoromo.com or on WhatsApp 082 956 4085 so that we can resolve the issue. If it is not resolved, you may approach the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO) or the National Consumer Commission.
11. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. We may update these terms. The version published on the date of your order applies to that order. The current version is always on this page.
